Andrea Douglas-Hanford is the eldest daughter of Elizabeth. A retired educator and national presenter specializing in Behavior Intervention, Positive Behavior Support, and Classroom Management, Andrea has captivated audiences with her engaging and dynamic presentations. She credits her mother for passing down the gift of capturing attention and skillfully engaging both small and large groups.
She resides in South Florida with her husband, Tim, and their cantankerous cat, Happy.
The vision for Daughters of Elizabeth was born during a heartfelt conversation while Andrea was visiting her mother. The discussion was multifaceted, filled with love, and fueled by the hope of convincing their mother to spend the winter months in Florida.
During that conversation, Andrea made a promise:
"Whenever the day that no one wants to imagine nor discuss comes... we promise to ensure that your legacy, mission, and artwork continue to live—not only within us but in all of your favorite places as well."
Despite facing speech and mobility challenges due to ALS, Andrea remains steadfast in her faith, trusting God and embracing life with joy, laughter, art, music, and waterfront vacations. She cherishes time spent with family and friends and continues to utilize her gift for writing, bringing special projects and assignments to life.
Alongside her sisters, Vicki and Nanette, Andrea is fully committed to transforming Daughters of Elizabeth from a vision into a full-fledged reality.
